Prompted by a BBC article suggesting Linkin Park have a new lead singer.

It still upsets me to think Chester Bennington was in such a dark place.

I like the album, but my mate thinks its absolute c**p, like a lot of Rogers output, you need to be in the mood for it.

I don’t have much in the way of early Bee Gees, so this does fine

My long held wish finally granted. Glad he didn’t pass away before releasing this as Mark Hollis did, dashing my hopes of anything new from him :frowning:

Elton John Tumbleweed Connection

Haven’t heard Tumbleweed connection for years, thanks for the reminder, Pete.

My wife and I listened to A Momentary Lapse of Reason on tidal tonight. We played the whole album, which we don’t usually do, but we wanted to give a a solid like/dislike and I’m glad to say that we really enjoyed it. When it was released, I must have been up to my arse in alligators with running the business at the time and didn’t take the time to buy it and have a listen.
She’s away for the weekend tomorrow and when she gets back we’ll be doing the same with The Division Bell.
I do enjoy David Gilour’s smooth vocals with Rick Wright’s perceptive harmonies. And, of course, both of their excellent instrumentals. A couple of very talented dudes, and it’s nice to listen to them without so many gd dmn depressing lyrics underlying the tunes. I don’t miss RW in the least.
A welcome progression.

Classic Elton John is pretty special. I do like David Gilmours voice it’s his lyrics I struggle with. I did enjoy his new album but I noticed everyone including his grandkids have helped with them (lyrics).

Good thing is we all hear different things from the same album or artist.
