Johnny Marr - Boomslang - Remastered 2024
I felt in the mood for some Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and decided on the wonderful Push The Sky Away. I’ve just been reading about the album and quite like the comments from Pitchfork reviewer Stuart Berman who praised its "foggy reveries built upon ominously rumbling bass lines, twitchy rhythmic tics, and hushed-voice intimations”.
That’s a coincidence - I’d no idea.
Another great Nick Cave album!
Taking a punt on this as it was only £21 on vinyl on Amazon. Two good recommendations hopefully.

The Durutti Column - circuses and bread
Normally when I play this, the title is intended as a droll comment on the state of things. I’m pleased to report that this evening’s view is sunnier
Thanks Debs.

Paul McCartney - Egypt Station - CD (2018)
Paul McCartney was at No.1 on the US chart with his 17th solo studio album Egypt Station. The name ‘Egypt Station’ is shared by one of McCartney’s paintings from 1988, from which the cover art is derived. It became his first No.1 album in the US since 1982’s Tug of War and his first to debut atop the Billboard 200.
…and actually you could watch most of the videos from that TV Show and would find it hard not to be impressed - great show, wish we had something similar.
or the Disturbed version I guess.
