My wife wanted to be a Moonbase girl…something to do with the purple hair!
a Moonbase girl…something to do with the purple hair!
That was UFO Bob (Nick Drake’s sister Gabrielle on the left), not Space: 1999…
Getting my moon girls mixed up. !!
UFO, another favourite of my youth, as was Gabrielle Drake, who you know appeared as Lieutenant Gay Ellis, who can remember her in Crossroads.
Continuing with 70s classic albums, Lou Reed Coney Island Baby is a much better album imo than the easy choice of Transformer which would just make my top 5 Reed albums.
Well i heard some of the nuances in the recording over highres streamed………but if i already had the highres, would probably not bother unless it was an all time favourite.
Hi res can be a bit hit and miss, I’ve some files that I think aren’t as good as the cd. Then there’s others that sound spectacular.
I think some may just be upscaled from the cd source, but others are from the original master tape.
Big thanks to @CalamityJack, this is wonderful, as is her cover of 99 Luftballons.
Zaho De Sagazan - La Symphonie Des Éclairs.
First solo listen to the Neat Majistra’s today.
Starting with a recommendation from Tony of Basically Sound, the purveyors of fine HiFi and supplier of said Majistra’s.
Gil Haham & Gorman Sollscher: Scubert For Two
Surely Space 1999 and UFO worthy of remakes?
A switch to something a little different…
A Perfect Circle: Eat The Elephant
Majistra’s sounding truly AWESOME!
A bit of vinyl and “Sade: Smooth Operator” to start the day. The Vitus amp is nicely run in and sounding fabulous.
Love Tell Me When The Whistle Blows from that record.
