What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

Can you recommend another 3 of your favourites ?

I’d be interested in expanding my knowledge and music in this area.

Earlier this afternoon, a fine progressive rock album. While reading / seeing a video about the pro’s and con’s of the remasters of the backcatalog of The Flowerkings…., still not sure if I am going to give it a try…

And now at an album which in principle doesn’t attract me so much, but in a way keeps me listening….

In my day it was Genesis (Trick of the Tail and later W&W and Seconds Out) and Yes (Going for the One). In the sixth form Thin Lizzy (Live and Dangerous) and ELO (Out of the Blue). A bit more left field at that time was Be Bop Deluxe (Drastic Plastic). Oh, and Rainbow (Long Live Rock and Roll).

David Bowie - Hunky Dory 50th Anniversary (2022)

A Christmas present from my son. Lovely package apart from the plastic sleeve holding the vinyl!
Source is the 2015 remaster and it sounds like it’s been given a fresh coat of paint.

I think you are right, it is quite easy, I think, for jazz guitar to lose the emotion of the music, I’ll probably buy these - expensive logging on here !
