Metallica - Master of Puppets (2004 remaster from the Rhino Records vinyl box-set)

More gristle for the Esoteric E-02 mill. A perfectly balanced sound that marries bass heft with fine detail and texture. A delight.

New release from The Pineapple Thief, a band I seem to have missed out somehow. A lush prog-rock offering with a polished production. I’m really enjoying it, worth a listen on Qobuz if rock is your thing.

40th Anniversary of our very first date today.
Played this over breakfast, as it was one of her/our favourites at the time and still is.

Admittedly the 50th Anniversary Edition, not the original on cassette as it was back then😊
