Probably my favourite Lamb album with Between Darkness and Wonder just behind it. :sunglasses:

Another album I have not listened to for many years- ‘Picture Book’ by Simply Red on CD rip. Great album particularly ‘Sad Old Red’, ‘Heaven’ and particularly, ‘Holding back the years’.

Why have I not listened to this for so long?

Caught her supporting Weyes Blood last year, had no idea who or what she was until we realized she was going to whistle a whole set of tunes for us. It was … interesting!

The Smiths - Meat Is Murder - CD (1985)

Is it really 39 years ago that The Smiths scored their first UK No.1 album with ‘Meat Is Murder’. The album’s sleeve uses a 1967 photograph of Marine Cpl. Michael Wynn in the Vietnam War, though with the wording on his helmet changed from “Make War Not Love” to “Meat Is Murder”. The original image was used for Emile de Antonio’s 1968 documentary In the Year of the Pig.

I recall seeing a David Murray group in Birmingham with the poet Lemn Sissay, who whistled on a few numbers.
