What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

nice on the cartridge, that should be a great step up, at present on my thorens TD 201 using a Goldring E2, thinking when time for new replacement stylus go straight to the E4, that sounds pretty neat the boxset

John Surman - Words Unspoken

John Surman (Soprano Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Bass Clarinet), Rob Luft (Guitar), Rob Waring (Vibraphone) and Thomas Strønen (Drums).

Continuing on this morning John’s recent album released on February 16 and he and the members of his quartet are sounding sublime!

Biosphere and higher intelligence agency did two collaborations - polar sequencess and Birmingham frequencies. Both are good (although i prefer the former).

Biosphere also did two collaborations with fellow Norwegian artist Deathprod - Nordheim Transformed and Stator. Their both worth checking out, although i prefer the HIA collabs (being a bit of an HIA fan)

On vinyl: Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs. This is new to me (although I had a listen YouTube before buying) and I was intrigued by it as it seems to be posted on this thread quite frequently. Anyway, it’s very good indeed. I like James Dewar’s vocals - a bit similar to Paul Rodgers.

She’s just as cool as ever, great (live) music surrounded by great musos whom she often conducts. Another of her wonderful albums with gorgeous SQ.

Not at all… The Sweeney

I love the fact her husband was manager of Iggy and the Stooges.
