Led Zeppelin Four / 2003 Atlantic / Japan CD / Paper Sleeve Edition / WPCR1161
Quicksilver Messenger Service
Maiden Of The Cancer Moon
Psycho
Double album of two performances, in great sound: live at the Fillmore East 1968/Pacific High broadcast 1968.
It was really cool, though!
Bob James Trio Straight Up / 1996 Warner / US CD / 9459562
Bob James Piano
Christian McBride Bass
Brian Blade Drums
Using the same side men as Chick Corea did a number of years later for his Trilogy releases, this is a very fine recording. The NAP 350’s are making it much more obvious what the musicians are doing and the interplay between them is excellent.
The Beeb stuff is his recordings over the years at the BBC but to launch the set, he gave a concert to a relatively small invited guest list and that gig is CD3 which is fantastic ![]()
Ah, I think this one CD is missing on tidal or does it also exist as a single album out there?
CAN | LIVE IN PARIS 1973 | 2024
Freshly released yesterday and downloaded from bandcamp in hi-res, joining @steviebee with their latest.
'The series was overseen by founding member Irmin Schmidt and producer/engineer René Tinner, who delicately worked on restoring the archival recordings to the best quality for current modern technology. This record captures the band’s 1973 performance in Paris, and features Irmin Schmidt on keyboard & synths, Jaki Liebezeit on drums, Michael Karoli on guitar, Holger Czukay on bass, and Damo Suzuki on vocals for one of his final shows with the band.’
Your little kittys are gorgeous btw!

Thelonious Monk with the Jazz Messengers
This was the first Monk album I purchased some time in the ‘90s. It’s like a Thelonious Monk greatest hits album and what a cracker it is too. Playing the remastered version from a few years back.
