Only four tracks but decent quality - Phil’s voice comes over in his gravely style - I enjoyed it!

Terry Reid - Seed of Memory.

Great mid 70s album from “Superlungs”, of whom Aretha once said “There are only three things happening in England: The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Terry Reid.”

Almost beat Percy to the Zep frontman spot.

LP – Heart To Mouth
CD|2018

Indie pop. After listening to “Lost On You” a bit ago, decided to try another one of their albums. First listen, so far liking it. Nice change of pace.

Jack Bruce - 4CD box set Smiles and Grins - Broadcast Sessions 1970 - 2001 Remastered.

This replicates the Spirit album set - Live At The BBC 1971 - 78 but with an extra CD of material.

It is not as “in your face” (through the remastering I guess) making it an easier and more engaging listen.

Mary Gauthier is great and I can recommend any of the following

Drag Queens In Limousines - 1999

Filth & Fire - 2002

Between Daylight And Dark - 2007

The Foundling - 2010

Trouble & Love - 2014

Rifles And Rosary Beads - 2018

Dark Enough to See The Stars / The Foundling Alone are also worth checking out.

Enjoy.

From 2003, on CD. This is a rather patchy Yello album – but when it’s good, it’s great!

I remember first hearing this album one evening while staying with Chris Murphy in Wellington. It became a real favourite, and was something of a test disc for me - If I was in the factory Paul would ask me to listen to the initial production batches of Hi-line interconnects and the opening track was perfect for showing me whether a Hi-line was working properly or not.
