Van Morrison - It’s Too Late To Stop Now - 1974 - Warner Bros (Burbank label) - OG double vinyl.
This is a stunning live album. Recoded at The Troubadour LA, Santa Monica Civic Auditorium & The Rainbow London. It captures VM in his greatest phase as a live performer.
Kate Bush - Directors Cut - CD (2011)
11 years ago, Kate received her CBE for services to music from the Queen at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, England. The singer-songwriter, who was catapulted to fame in 1978 when Wuthering Heights topped the charts, said she was ‘incredibly thrilled’. The 54-year-old dedicated the award to her family and joked that it would have pride of place at the top of her Christmas tree.
Now playing…
Palle Mikkelborg - Strands (Live at the Danish Radio Concert Hall)

Grateful Dead – Pacific Northwest ’73–’74: Believe It If You Need It
CD rip | 2018
3CD set. @TheKevster played this some days ago and reminded me to give it a listen. Enjoyable collection.
Bill Frisell - Good Dog, Happy Man
Opening with the most appropriate track, Rain, Rain.
I don’t think we’ve had two consecutive dry days since 1973.
Hi Ian, Thanks mate, its happened a few times, you see a cover pop up and it jogs the old memory cells, love the 12" R.E.M singles you have playing.
Enjoy the rest of your day mate.
Patti Smith - Dream of Life
My favourite Patti Smith album - she is on fire throughout.
Contains one of my favourite guitar pieces - Up There, Down There - Mr Sonic Smith on guitar which kicks off right from the start and burrows deep into the song.
The Hi Res download is stunning.
Normally, for the 2018 remix of Animals the SACD is my go-to but today I’m playing the vinyl (I was lucky to not get one of the very many faulty pressings) from the “super deluxe” box. The bass on “Pigs (Three Different Ones”) is extraordinary - soooo deep.
Ex Steven Wilson Band member too
having a play of your selection right now - wonderful.
Ulrich Schnauss | Far Away Trains Passing By | 2001
I felt like something ambient and gentle, this electronic music fits the mood perfectly. It was his sophomore album following on from the great acclaim of his solo debut Isolated Places this was to prove an even bigger hit. Amongst his other work he now spends much time since 2014 involved with Tangerine Dream and carries the responsibility very well.
it’s Wish You Were Here on vinyl. But this is a bit different – it’s the Q4 UK quadrafonic LP. The mix is quite different (as I don’t have any quad equipment, it sounds a bit weird) and the versions of “Have A Cigar” and “Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part 8” are both longer than the standard releases…
The 1970 release Take It To The Streets from Elephants Memory.
