What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

You’ve deffo got a good man there.

Always plays with a smile on his face, always gives 100% and is a natural leader in the dressing room.

Howson, Greenwood, Woodgate … … … and now Ayling … … … :flushed:

He’s made a big impression already, not many knew he has a stammer, yet gave a cracking interview on the club website. Anyway, lucky escape for your lot with Spence.
Apologies for thread drift.

Orlando Cachaito Lopez and friends. (2001).

A stunning record of Cuban and Latin dance styles fused with jazzy sounds and unexpected turntablism.

@Alley_Cat. The German heavy metal band Gamma Ray covered the PSB : It’s A Sin on their 1999 album PowerPlant. It actually works pretty well as a power metal song. What I found interesting was it was in the middle of the running order of the album, not tacked on as a throwaway song.

Thanks, I nearly mentioned there must be many covers of that particular song I’ve never heard - will check it out!

Great tip, new to me, thanks @apye The wonderful Earl van Dyke on the keyboard, fabulous.

The hawk flies high here.

West Yorkshire is very productive on the ambient front, with Cousin Silas in Huddersfield. This one looks interesting.

The artist behind Craven Faults is quite enigmatic and little seems to be known about who is behind the name. It’s in an electronic / ambient vein with a Krautrock influence as well. Some might feel it’s repetitive, but I find it mesmerising. I think around 4 albums have been released. I seem to recall some suggestion that this artist was also based in Huddersfield, but I could be mistaken. I will have to check out Cousin Silas.

Blimey, just checked out Cousin Silas and productive is an understatement. It appears he has released around 80 albums!

I know! I have a couple and they are very good, but as you say there are rather a lot. I looked up Craven Faults on Bandcamp, and there is a much more modest number.
