Sticking with the Canterbury scene:For Girls Who Grow Plump In the Night(CD)
61 years ago a local promoter booked an unknown British rock and roll band for a 3 week tour of Australia.
60 years ago The Beatles arrived in Adelaide where over 300,000 people (1/2 of Adelaide population) lined the streets from airport to their hotel. They were mobbed everywhere they went playing Adelaide Melbourne Sydney and Brisbane.
Had they not been booked when they were they may never had made it here. So big cheer to Kenn Brodziak for having the foresight.
PS I forgot to mention that I gigged school to watch the tour live on tv.

A lovely collection of Electronica tracks. Calming, relaxing and a great way to start the day!
I have only listened to a few of his other albums, must take some time at some point to explore the rest.

I’m not giving in yet though …
Skynyrd. Live in 1976. Extended 2xCD version.
Still one of the best live albums I have heard. They made it sound very spontaneous, and that they enjoyed playing.
Osi and the Jupiter - Songs from the Grave. Some dark Americana after completing my ‘duties to do’ for the day.
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Not my favourite PF album, but I’m checking out the version on Qobuz, which sounds rather good. I’m assuming this is from the 2011 remaster.
Edit: listening in digital form, means it rolls into side four naturally (no need to go and turn the record over). More often than not I don’t bother listening to side four, but it’s actually very good and now I wonder why I’ve been so reluctant to play it. I must play my vinyl copy.
