I knew I had it somewhere. Maybe first play, not sure.
1998 - DERAM 8448272
Listening to the stereo track versions. Original release 1969.
I’m liking it so far.
Edit:
Wow, Clapton’s guitar playing
What an album. Pure Blues!
Unusual take on white rabbit as final track
Now playing…
Arooj Aftab - To Remain/To Return
Arooj Aftab (Vocals), Vijay Iyer (Rhodes Piano) and Shahzad Ismaily (Electric Bass, Moog Synthesizer).
Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… kicking off this morning with Arooj Aftab, Vijay and Shahzad and this trio is sounding sublime! Not been out for a spin in awhile and this 2023 release needs to see the light of day more often…
It is but I think it’s rather good
Don’t forget she is at Glasto… BBC4 Saturday at 7:00
Switching things up a bit …
Emmylou Harris And The Nash Ramblers – Ramble In Music City
CD rip | 2021
Buffalo Springfield Again
Just listening to my CD rip and as always thinking how much better is the Hi Res.
Well it is outstanding the 88.2Khz 24bit sounds so good and to my ears better than the 192khz 24bit (from the What’s that sound remastered collection).
Wilco - Hot Sun Cool Shroud
Billed as left overs from their last album and an EP.
Here you get six stunning tracks with some wonderful guitar outbursts from guitarist Nels Cline.
After not having played my vinyl version for about thirty years, I bought The Survivors Suite by Jarret in CD, second hand. What a mind blowing jazz disc this is. I had forgotten how good it is.
My local record shop seems to be gravitating towards selling second hand and new old stock, rather than new. I also picked up Travelling Mercies, by Cris Potter, which is pretty good.
I also bought on a whim, Room 1200 by Mangelsdorff and Surman as well as Momentum Space by Dewey Redman, Cecil Taylor and Elvin Jones, bought unheard for the names involved, can be filed as interesting curiosities.
Deadmau5 - Random Album Title
First play of this new vinyl release from Deadmau5. Colourful as always!
