I feel Olafsson is the blue-eyed boy of the classic labels and magazines at this point in time. Of course he brings something new to the table. And I do enjoy his Bach recordings, which I have on vinyl. But I do think there is only so much “new” an artist can bring to these pieces.
Eric Andersen - Blue River (1972). Singer/songwriter who doesn’t get the attention he deserves, imo. Backing vocals from a certain J Mitchell on the title track. Lovely album
