Sounding energetic on CD
Green Day - Dookie
Right! That’s enough jazz– time for something synthetic. Vinyl reissue of a cassette-only release from the early 1980s:
Lore. Clannad, 1996. Nice.
Saw them live a couple of times a while back at Brum Symphony Hall. They were excellent.
Peter Green | The Anthology | 2008
The wonderful Peter Green (Greeny) still greatly missed around these parts. This fine old 4 CD ‘Anthology’ is a must for all Greeny fans.
Post a clean on the RCM, Status Quo, On The Level, on vinyl. It ain’t hi-fi (by any test), but it’s rock’n’ roll and then some. There’s bass, but there’s no bass ![]()
Boy-hood memories are flooding back, and, no, I ain’t got no denim ![]()
Sunburst Finish,Be-Bop Deluxe. Carrying on with the fabulous Mr Nelson, never get tired of listening to “ Crying To The Sky “
The live album that was part of this set is one of my fav Bowie live recordings, enjoy!
After the 'Quo, time for some proper bass, this time from The Crusaders, Street Life, on vinyl. Now 46+ years of age - blimey. Far better than Steely Dan, with Randy Crawford starring on Street Life.
Peter Tosh. Bush doctor
After recently watching Bob Marley on OGWT dvd set I had to play this release from my favourite Wailer. Originally bought on vinyl c/w scratch n sniff cover.
Brandi Shearer – Close To Dark
CD | 2007
Singer-songwriter/soft rock. Haven’t played this in ages. Nice to revisit.
Rickie Lee Jones, on lightweight vinyl – the eponymous album which launched a career.
Wonderful stuff, and hasn’t aged IMHO.
The cat in the hat as he’s known in our Album Group.
Is the full album out yet? Title track and reviews suggest it’s absolutely going to be his finest since the magnificent Southeastern.
Not a fan of that vetsion of 10cc or live albums generally but that captures a mood and I do come back to it periodically.
