Cobblestone Jazz - minimal techno, house and jazz all blended together. Haven’t listened to this for years. They were all the rage at DC10 in Ibiza for quite a few years when Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos were at their peak.

Absolute classic; absolute legend; a consummate album in the same league as Queen’s Greatest Hits; Sgt Peppers; ZZ Top Eliminator; AC/DC Back in Black; ETA (every track awesome).

I love ‘Apple Venus Vol. 1’ too Pete. ‘Homespun’ is, track for track, exactly the same album. Worth hunting down if you love the original release. I think they used Andy Partridge’s home studio to record it and, for me, it has an immediacy that the polished final version slightly lost.

With mid morning coffee on a bright spring day.

Forgive me @seakayaker , from the stuff that you post, if you don’t have this album, I think you would love it.

Best,

Enjoying this frankly bonkers LP by French prankster Laurent Gérard which veers from avant chanson to ambient spoken word to crunchy no wave belter at the drop of a hat.
