Wow! Kangaroo steak!
I’ve been to Australia quite a few times and seen lots of restaurants that serve kangaroo steak, but I’ve never had the guts to give it a try.
I got a pair of R.M.Williams boots, and they’re made from kangaroo hide though.
Unusually (for me at least) I blended in parboiled Broccoli into the sauce based on the missus’ suggestion. Added a creamy healthiness. Added roast homegrown eggplant and courgettes. Threw in a few bits of hot chorizo!
I’m definitely losing it. It was Ostrich not Kangaroo! I cooked some Kangaroo in Australia but this was Ostrich. Not sure whether you can buy Kangaroo in UK![]()
Most comfortable Chelsea boots ever
A couple of lamb half shoulders - 1/2 price at Tesco. Ridiculous pricing but I’m sure they make up for it elsewhere. For once didn’t add garlic/rosemary after tasting the juices early on - yum!
Chicken, bacon and mushroom pappardelle, for dinner with our son this evening. Went well with a Ciro wine from Calabria.

these hot dogs made them yesterday for dinner but saved one for dinner tonight covered in alu foil they have a gruyere cheese sauce own recipe and are Bacon wrapped and garnish with red onions,scalions woud also go nice
Nice is these like a sort italian stoganoff love chicken and beef stroganoff with mushrooms and bell peppers
nice is that a demi glaze are carrots cooked with butter my doctor just sayd i must put bigger amount veggies on my plate that meat or carbs
I didn’t ask the doctor for that meal. Yes, it is a demi glaze. It has been made of some calf leg, marrow bones and - for your doctor - lots of vegetables. Don’t tell your doc about the wine in the sauce;-)
And yes: the carrots are made sous vide with butter and some herbs.
lol my doctor is a she and she is german very skinny i think probally vegan
i tryed once making a demi glaze with red wine and balsamico di modena turned to sticky and cleaning up plates was not fun later
