Chicken, bacon and potato salad, having to make dinners that are eaten cold!
On hot days like these, there’s little to beat very large king prawns cooked in white wine, garlic, lemon juice, salt & pepper and butter, sprinkled with parsley. Served with tiny 1” baby potatoes and tenderstem broccoli, with an avocado vinaigrette on the side.
Asparagus, Goat’s Cheese and Za’atar tart.
Puff pastry was a mare in the heat and needed more Asparagus and Red Onions but nice and flavoursome. Served with a chopped salad and slaw.

Homemade barbecued lamb koftas, Greek salad, pickled chillies, hummus and pitta bread. With a glass of rose
Filo Tart of roasted Romano Peppers. Red onion and Courgettes. With feta and soft goats cheese.
Will slice it up later with dressed Rocket leaves.

Not so much dinner as afternoon coffee but celebrated the arrival of a new set of Henckel knives (my favourites) with a batch of blueberry, pecan, cinammon and ginger muffins.
