Nice bottle of Cornish Stout… must make the effort to pop over to the brewery / shop once silly season is over.

Delirium Tremens.

Quite refreshing on these hot days, despite the rather high alcohol content.

One of the weaker Thornbridge offerings - 3.8% - but plenty of flavor. Bottle conditioned.

Never say no to a pint of Kelham Island Pale Rider even without a proper head on it. Delish on a warm early evening in the Fat Cat garden.

We nearly made it home but thirst prevails - just time for a pint of Butcombe Rare Breed Pale Ale at our local- smooth and fruity.

Decent selection at Beerbohm’s in Lichfield but more malt than hop to my taste.

From the local supermarket - I couldn’t resist. I never had a feminist beer before.

The label says (via translator): ‚Muschicraft! The intersectional-feminist craft beer from Vienna. A delicious beer for many flavours and all gender identities! Reflecting patriarchal structures while drinking beer and, incidentally, Muschicraft beer consumers also donate to women-related projects.

(I hope the flavour does not arouse any associations.)

Excellent news! I thought kelham island was no more… my favourite beer in the fat cat years ago

Indeed Dog - the lads said it’s now brewed by Thornbridge. Odd as it must be a direct (if marginally weaker) competitor for their Jaipur.

“just can’t quite place it….”
Most men can’t…
The translation of the German word “Muschi” tells you all you need to know.

When I saw the bottle I thought the artwork is by Miles Davis. Miles drew these symbols on most of his later album covers.

The beer doesn‘t taste good, btw. Open any beer, leave it open in the fridge for a day and enjoy it. Tastes exactly the same

Titanic have reopened a pub in Lichfield, now called the Beacon. I think the bare font is Iceberg. Liked the White Star.

It’s still summer and this is my Sunday usual at Cafe 23.
