I was in a central London pub earlier this week, £2.59 per pint of this gorgeous Suffolk beer… pulled from the cask like the best beers need to be. This really is one of the best genuine IPAs out there.. in my humble opinion.
Bargain! Especially in londinium
Must be ‘Spoons.
Chuckle it was indeed….
They water it down.
Smells too little like fish I think. ![]()
Earl Soham Deben Hop - max hops, drizzabone - should go well with the just ordered scallops and skate.
Haven’t quite got my taste bubs working yet and haven’t really enjoyed a beer for a few months. Been baking a cheese cake for my granddaughter who just turned 25, looking forward to catching up with her tomorrow. Bit hot and muggy here today and the local didn’t have my normal beer i thought I’d try something different, not bad at all.
Stout in a can with a widgetty thing. I believe it’s new? I love a stout. Adnam’s Blackshore from the pump in Southwold being my particular favourite. This is fine for a change.
Yesterday, was my first day as a retiree, so what better way to round it off, than with a visit to The Bandstand.
Swannay, Chance Your Arm, and Cromarty, 80/ were both excellent on a cold, snowy evening.
Cheers,
Ian
Fyne Ales, Wulver: an excellent, warming, pint of oatmeal stout after a chilly walk on the beach with my dog, Eddie.
Cheers,
Ian
Before and after a pulsating game at Portman Road pints of Nethergate Old Growler - bit like my throat after lots of shouting!
Great pint! Which, sadly, doesn’t find its way this far north.
Bitter Suite, Lichfield. A disappointing selection. Cornish Best too thin, Twin Falls too full-on, although it improved in the glass.
