I enjoyed a Whiteout from Cromarty, local to here, before a couple of the well in-form Clootie Dumpling. I was about to head off when Mark, the barman, pointed out he had just put Santa’s Stout on - well, it would have been rude not to!
Today, I have been mostly feeling quite tired!
Cheers,
Ian
Having a 3 night Twixtmas break at The Feathers in Holt, Norfolk with Mrs Duck. Very much enjoying the Eastern Gold from the local Barsham brewery
I’m quite partial to the Orkney’s Clootie Dumpling
Rinse and repeat for me….
have my music room back as Sloop Jnr has headed back to Manchester. Still have daughter and granddaughter (oh and there’s a son in law in there too!) until Thursday but nice to have a bit of late night music. So Leann Follain and Bowie’s Heroes interspersed with a few tracks form Dylan’s Planet Waves.

That looks good.
Landlord is one of my favourite beers. And what’s more, it’s now available in one of our local pubs, just over half a mile’s walk from the house, so what better way to spend lunchtime on New Year’s Eve. Great beer, a baked potato, perfect.
Have had some nice beets by Siren and Fullers. Interesting they did a collaboration.
All set for the evening with a few bottles of Orkney ale. Dark Island first with Italian Black Truffle and Sea Salt Mixed Nuts. Culture clash in TS16.
Star Wars to see the new year in. All is good.
Happy New Year to all
Birthday lunch out at The Mossett Tavern in Forres, where Old Speckled Hen took my fancy.
Then back to my local for a couple of Santa’s Stouts before heading home for more beer and food!
Happy New Year fellow beer lovers!
Ian
Love the name of that beer called ‘Sunshine on Keith’!
Delirium Christmas.
Tastes like nitro dilution due to my Covid disease. Otherwise, a top beer, as far as I can remember.
…and a Happy New Year to all of you. Cheers!
