Get well soon!
Oh, thank you. It’s not so bad, a rough feeling in the throat and temporary(?) confusion of the sense of taste.
A 2024 methinks ! Just bought a couple more to store for Christmas 2025!
Oops! It’s not that strong! Corrected,
Beerbohm’s Lichfield. The Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby is unmissable, even at 6%. Jouster was a decent session beer.
Ditto; a Christmas gift from my wife, who clearly knows me too well!
As it keeps well, I will save it for an occasion of some sort…or not!
Cheers
Ian
Now this is nice
Finishing off the last of my Christmas Orkney Ales tonight. This stout is possibly the best of the lot, even better than the ‘Dark Island’ (but not the Dark Island Reserve which, to me, is beyond compare).
A collaboration between Thornbridge and The Kernel brewed using the legendary Burton Union method. A strong (7.2%) dark bitter with a very drinkable blend of hop and malt. Bottle conditioned. From the Thornbridge Brewery shop in Bakewell.
Gösser Bock. From Styria. We have it in every better stocked supermarket for little money.
In advertising they say ‘Austria’s best beer’. I wouldn’t agree. But their Bock is really good.
Jaipur is a ‘can’t miss’ even at £5.90 a pint. Fixed Wheel also very drinkable.
Beerbohm’s Lichfield.
