Cheers from Baden my friends!
Beer Board in the Wellington, Birmingham. Tried 9, 11, 12, liked 12 the most, an easy drinking session beer.
It’s festival weekend at The Bandstand, Nairn. This is my good friend and fellow volunteer, David, welcoming folk to the beer tent, yesterday.
All hail the ale!
Cheers,
Ian
Tried Hawkstone lager, from Jeremy Clarkson farm, for the first time. Embarrassed to say I’ve had a case of them for over 7 months and only just tried one. I think it’s excellent. Lovely light, fruity taste. Something very organic about it. Probably the cloudiness.
No idea if anyone here has posted about it, or tasted it. Interested to hear though.
It’s even better on draft. I know at least two London pubs that do it.
I do enjoy your descriptions of this bar and my family visited in February as part of a birthday weekend away. Will have to return sometime as it’s a very special place.
Glad you like. The Whippet, next door, is also worth a visit.
After a rather stressful day, a beer tastes twice as good.
Here’s a Hacker-Pschorr Kellerbier from Munich because I have no time for Munich this year.
Perfection!
Cretan beer in a back street bar in Paleochora. Dispensed from a tap on the fridge-like box in the background. Quite hoppy, not sweet. Very good.
I discovered that brew whilst holidaying in Chania last summer. It fits the description a barman gave me of Adnams Dry Hopped Lager - has enough flavour to appeal to real ale drinkers. Enjoy
Cheeky mid sunny afternoon pint of Rev James Gold from Brains - long way from home. Crisp and fruity, just the job.
