First taste of this year’s batch…
This is the first of the many beers I put in the fridge for this week. It tastes good, just as I expected. And that’s despite the fact that I ate a load of McDonald’s food beforehand. Those products aren’t even cheap anymore.
Now Asahi Group. So a no from me

Good for you, oh worthy one!
Hey Hey Hoo - a 5.5% pale ale from a local brewery (Inami Native Brewery) in Japan. I have to say, I’ve had some really special beers over here
Misty riverside pint of Earl Soham Victoria Bitter - a crisp and hoppy session ale originally brewed in the old chicken shed behind the pub.
Brauhaus Gusswerk - Die schwarze Kuh
‚Black Cow’ is the literal meaning of the name – surprise! With 9.2% alc. it’s definitely on the stronger side. It has a chocolaty-bitter taste, meaning it’s not a thirst quencher.
An old favourite. I was first introduced to Tongham Tea as the company I work for always orders a few casks for company celebrations (and it’s our local brewery).
Leaf clearing can wait for today…
How is it?
Nice and wintery! Lots of caramel with bitter/sweet finish. I have a couple of 2024 ones left so it will be interesting to see how they compare!
Although I have barely touched my autumn beer delivery, I couldn’t resist the 2025 Christmas beers. Here is what was inside the first two boxes.
Kasteel Tripel
A potent 11% alcohol content that you absolutely don’t notice while drinking it. It should require a firearms license…
