I’ll be near their place on me hols in a few weeks… mmmmm
We’re taking a little trip and I always like to partake of new beers away from home .. this is a Double IPA from Lakewood, NY .. one I haven’t tried before. Very tangy ..
and at 8.2% one that requires some respect .. a very nice brew ..
A pint of Butty Bach - out in the Forest of Dean today, great walks along the Severn and then in the Forest. We needed sustenance after that. I had heard about this place; it has friendly people, great beer and food. We sat at a table in the bay window and enjoyed a tasty sandwich with proper chunk chips with the obligatory pint.
A firm favourite if seen on tap.
I have no idea why they chose to change the old tap badge. Seems so much more fitting.
Is that samples of the beers in those jars? I haven’t seen that before.
I have, quite a few times. Including in, dare I mention them, 'Spoons…

Ah, I see. It’s been a while since I had a pint in the UK. And it might be even longer before I do so again. ![]()
Yes. You can see if the beer is pale, dark or cloudy without having to ask the bartender. It has become popular in the UK in the last 3 years or so.
Had the same last night in The Wellington, Lichfield.
A departure for me : Timothy Taylor’s Landlord at the Prince Arthur in Rodborough. At least that’s what I asked for but did not get to see the hand pump.
A couple of pints of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord at Black Swan Harrogate, my first pub venture for 4 months. Nectar!
