What beer are you drinking and WHY might anyone be interested?

First time out as well to the best local supping up a couple of these in the sun.

Like the now common mega fruity hop bombs but more sensible and with a crisp dry lager finish.

Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA 6%
Delaware USA

Cloudy IPA with a creamy texture and full bodied due to 6% alcohol. The hoppiness is not too overt . A really delicious IPA, the best I’ve ever had , as so many other breweries over-egg the hops

It’s nice when you find a good one, I find a lot of IPAs end up tasting like medicine.

Yes, by and large I tend to avoid craft beers as they can be unbalanced with too many hops. It’s like an amplifier manufacturer engineering too much bass or treble giving an unbalanced sound.

Statement a refreshingly expensive IPA :sunglasses:

One of my favourites. I prefer it to their 90 Minute IPA, which, to my tastebuds, throws the balance out of whack.

Peroni Gran Riserva Doppio Malto.

I discovered the delights of this Peroni luxury beer a couple of weeks back,
created in Italy to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Peroni brewery’s foundation.

It has an intense taste, with aroma of cereals, toasted malt, spices and a delicate fruity aftertaste, and is now a firm favourite, Chez Dave. :+1:

Someone spoke to you ( about this specific beer?) or was by chance?

No, I was just perusing the local supermarket offerings for my next home delivery, when, noticing this one, I thought it looked quite interesting, so ordered a half dozen.

It’s a lovely beer, not really lager tasting at all, a bit “moreish” and I’d thoroughly recommend it. :yum: :yum:

That’s an interesting beer, we’d be lucky to find that here but I am going to look. Cheers.

The beer board at the Bitter Suite, Lichfield. All beer is served from cask so no fonts to show.

We went for the Heritage Brewing St Modwen which was in superb condition. Brewed in Burton, just down the road.
