Meni
there is hadashot from chord
be patient
Okeyā¦but we still don`t know how good he will be comparing to othersā¦hadashot haaaaa TEL-AVIV
good Hebrewā¦to be patient is my weekness
I belive the engineers at Chord, know their job and especially by developping power strip for their excellent cables, and yeah Habibi You will always have different products to compare. What is important is that the product will fit you in your listening space and of course it will also fit in your wallet.
Makes senseā¦I use to wall Cord Music cable and never went back
For that kinda money I would expect it to sing by itself - without amp and speakers!!!
What amuses me is the delusional costs of power cables that include all sorts of esoteric materials that claim to enhance our audio experience.
I have not heard any audible differences in Chordās cables from the Signature series and above, in my system ā¦ (and it also costs quite a bit ā¦)
Unfortunately some still think just putting an expensive powercable in the system will make a positive difference. Itās inspiring to know that others have tried some and then spent some time listening. Then go one to prefer something else, or put it on another device, or change other supporting cables.
Some powercables could push the system in a different direction than the devices and the other cables like to go. Leaving everything likely to fall over itself.
I have recently made my own cables using 4mm2 CSA 3183Y, system sounds pretty good!
Thatās a good joke
I hear itās better by how much itās cost
Otherwise we will get boredā¦thatās the price for a hobby,we need to be all the time excitementā¦music is not enough
Meni, a lot of sites can do 14 days try and return. Why not try Isotek Sirius and Eros Titan, and return if not satisfied. You will just pay maybe 20 dollars for the return.
Analogue seduction ( online) has both. I have the Eros from them.
So, what are the ideal qualities of a power cord/cable?
Does anyone actually know? Or, do firms just take exotic materials, form them into a cable and convince us it must be good because itās Ā£1000 per meter.
And if you canāt hear the difference itās your fault?
Some have a good dose of common sense involved to help one see the science, some others over do the science and go medical grade.
Your best bet is to thoroughly research, more research and then get your ears in.
Iām waiting for Chord they r going out with their powerstrip ā¦I trust them
Cheap canāt be good ,prices up usually are better, the only problem is that we are not always able to feel the difference
One area of hifi OCD ness I have managed to avoid. Sort of. I made my own. Decent quality Belden 19364? cable, quality silver coated MK plug and IEC socket. Took my time to do what I considered a decent job, screws tight, screened cable only connected at the plug. Heat shrink applied at each end to identify.
Sounds good to me. All made to a length to suit me.
I even sold a few at cost to friends. One of which raved about it! Sod raved on a local Facebook record owners page. I was inundated with orders. Albeit at cost!
Needless to say I made a few and stopped when I ran out of cable! The cost from memory was Ā£20 max.
This is the premise of a lot of Laurie Leeās output and he did pretty well for himself. Returning home to see it anew sort of thing.
On power cords, Iāve two Powerlines and then the standard Naim one. I tried some other stuff. My conclusion; they alter the sound (which is the point of their design) and, with alarming frequency, the result is an unhappy experience - unless youāve home demoād for ages.
Honourable mention to a Copperline something or other from Clearer Audio which stayed on my CB250 for a number of years and was good.
Ovbiously, everyone is really free to think as he or she sees fit; I also thought that behind the power cords there was merely rather a good dose of marketing and chatter for unwary and naive.
But the truth is that what the Tellurium Q power cords, both the Black Power and the Ultra Blue, do with the system and with the music through it is a pure marvel, you have to hear it to understand it; however, I imagine that there will also be a good synergistic effect having installed the TQ Silver+Black Diamond full loom.
In any case, I would always recommend to try them in home demo if you can, and then have everyone consult with their ears; me, with mine, happy, and very satisfied with the final result achieved in the main system.
I just did my first upgrade : Installed the entry level Powerquest 2 for clean current (and power surge protection, which puts my mind at ease knowing my Uniti is well protected). Then changed the standard retail power cable of the sub to a Audioquest NRG-Y series cable. The first step proved to be a more noticeable improvement compared to the second. Bit more extension/resolution in the high end, and punch, especially on low volume. Which actually was a bit scary as my modest Dynaudios already provided plenty of presence. Next up is a NRG-Y power cable into the Uniti Star. To be honest Iām not expecting sensational results there like the change in power feed, that was really a step up. But if it does Iāll post again.
