What is your power cord?

Ok Meni, you are indeed not obliged to tell more. Enjoy and stay safe.

If you do go with CY, be sure it is CY & not SY (C is copper, S is steel)
Also remember the screen (shield) is not a conductor, think of it as a grounded conduit, the correct way to ground it is to connect it to earth (E) at the input (wall socket) end only, leave the output end unconnected (floating)

Cheers Mike, will do

Same here - Mark Grant mains leads

I use Olsen power distribution unit with Doncaster Cables Twin & Earth Cable (6242Y) 6.0mm2 between CU and Olsen PDU. Since I move to a Chord Choral system, Iā€™m unsure if makes much difference. I used PowerLines when I had Naim amps.

Same here - Mark Grant mains leads - to the boxes. Mine are DIY with MG cable & my choice of 13A & IEC ends.
I use Lapp from wall to dist board, I needed a screened cable (my past & OCD) & MG no longer sold his stuff off the reel. Iā€™d experimented with other screened cables but found side issues with most, and no Iā€™m not expanding on that, Lapp has no such issues, itā€™s simple no frills & does the job.

I am using a Nordost Frey 2 power cable of 2 m, which goes from the wall socket to a Nordost QB8 MK II power rail. A nice combination.

Your combination is very expensive to my ability

Well, itā€™s not free, but My opinion is that in the end you get what you pay for. :slightly_smiling_face:

IDidn`t said freeā€¦big difference between free to 3.500dollars for both of them

Thatā€™s not always true in my experience, especially in the world of cables, fuses, earthing boxes and music servers.

Yoda is right ,usually you get what you payed for ā€¦better quality bigger pocket

It depends on the individualā€™s opinion and personal preferences, right?

I need to move my rack after a change of room layout. I have a dedicated mains with mk unswitched sockets. The powerline lights wonā€™t reach to new location. Iā€™m considering 2x 4 metres of Mark Grant dsp 2.5. Could also daisychain a new wall socket but this would mean chasing wall, electrician etc.
I canā€™t convince myself that adding a power block will improve sound over plugging direct into wall. I also only need two sockets and most are 6 way power blocks.

Saying again french 4 uā€¦after listening more to the changes I did yesterday by adding Cord shawline to my matrix2 ā€¦ I did receive 2 steps ahead ā€¦higher and better to my musicā€¦everything is in balance ,not to bright, not too fat, instruments sound realā€¦ at least Iā€™m happy to-dayā€¦no insurance for tomorrow like life

So very good. I am glad for you.
I have a bit insisted on it, but finally you like the upgrade.
I found that good quality power for the components is even more important than interconnects or speakers cables.
Buying 1 year ago the Eros Titan powerblock and the Kharma GR power cord was a revelation for my system.

Rightā€¦ I was also surprised what a combination of power block with a good cable can change your system dramaticallyā€¦Matrix powerblock with a regular cable I used before can kill your soundā€¦even badly than microgal power blockā€¦you need both of them for better resolts.

I have full loom of Ansuz. Couldnā€™t be happier.

I have Powerlines on every Naim power supply, and on the motor of my Verdier in our 500 system.

(The late, great Bob Crump used to voice his TG Audio power cords on his turntable!)

These Powerlines are plugged into a Nordost power strip with a Valhalla2 power cord. Sounds crazy I know, but if you have not tried it, donā€™t knock it.

We also have Powerlines in a second NaitXS-Flatcap system and in a UnitiQute2-b system.

The difference has been immediately audible in our Naim systems. That is much more than you can say for most power cord upgrades.

Get a few demos from your dealer and check for yourself.
