Amazon have just charged my card £56.38 which is the price of the Richard and Linda set, is that good news or do I see a refund tomorrow?

Sounds like good news. I do wonder if Amazon haven’t over sold at £56 and can’t source at that price so they’re fulfilling orders at the £70 and the cheaper buyers will find the delivery date keeps getting pushed out - that’s commerce I guess.
Hope you get a new delivery date soon.

Edit: forgot to mention release date! It was originally June this year, but Covid delayed until this month on the 27th I believe, but it’s just been pushed back to the end of January.
Considering original copies go for over £1000 still sealed though, I’m willing to take a long delay!

I very much looked forward to the “audiophile” reissue of Getz/Gilberto in Verve’s new Acoustic Sounds Series, only to find that they switched the stereo channels in Girl from Ipanema, which is driving me mad particularly because for decades Astrud Gilberto has been far right outside of the speakers, now she is far left. A pity because otherwise it is a very good pressing. I fail to understand how this can happen
I hadn’t thought of that. Sounds like a distinct possibility.
This 4-LP 45rpm box from Analogue Productions has been rumoured for quite some time now, many specialist dealers have had it on pre-order since 2019, but there are no signs of it appearing as yet. I bet it’ll sound amazing if or when it does show up.

@Eoink card charged last night and delivery date changed from Oct/Nov to today - we’ll see fingers crossed.

Sadly delivery date has now moved to 3rd November.
Hopefully they will manage to get rid of the wind noise that blighted the sound.
I haven’t got a clue what’s going on! Following a notification that my order will be delayed, possibly until Nov. I have today received a delivery notice for later today. I’m relieved but what a rollercoaster!

Now over on the Hoffman site numerous reports that the discs are faulty and unrippable - this is turning into a fiasco.
Hmm, maybe my delivery date of 3rd November is a good thing. What a shame, great music many people were looking forward to, badly managed.
