Who passed away? Keith Jarrett didn’t. He did suffer a stroke in 2018 that left him unable to perform anymore.
It was Esbjörn Svensson who died in a diving accident in 2008. He was the famous piano player of the jazz trio e.s.t. who redefined trio jazz. Soon also some solo recordings from him will be released.
I see. Posting the Keith Jarrett cover left me confused. Thanks for the clarification.
I have the Esbjörn Svensson Trio – Esbjörn Svensson Trio Plays Monk on ACT records and it’s excellent I don’t know the Trio that well and had no idea Esbjörn had died what a loss. Thanks for the heads up I will check out the new LP.
I have all of them and will also get this new solo album…., a great musical mind has left us…
The way the world’s going… my own.
I remember seeing E.S.T. around 2010 and they put on a great live show. It was a real shock when that diving accident tragedy was announced.
