Not really as it only amounts to a single studio album. Nonetheless, it’s one of my favourite double albums.
Pink Floyd - Ummagumma and Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
The Cure - Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me
(But I’m a huge fan of ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ mentioned by several others too)
Your post made me put that on. It’s pretty trippy. Rick Wakeman hates it which probably hasn’t helped sales, but it’s definitely got something. Best double studio……I think I might be looking to some of the other recommendations!
Stevie Wonder. Songs in the key of life.
Good grief, is nobody going to mention this.
Remarkable album.
This was almost my 1st choice but The Beatles just pipped it.
Funny how sometimes the most obvious choices are overlooked, SWs Songs in the Key of Life would be in my top 5
The Who, Quadraphenia - Reigns over me!
‘The Beatles’.
And I have great hopes for the new Bruce Springsteen ‘Letter To You’, although that’s only recorded on three sides!
I think Soundtracks for the Blind, The Seer, To Be Kind and The Glowing Man are even better and all qualify as doubles.
Quadrophenia…perfect performance from the four members.
If I may add an additional personal favorite, Spock’s Beard, Snow.
Only 300 copies released on vinyl.
Pink Floyd - The Wall
