I also found a useful uplift in sound with the sew Scan Speak units.
Good morning. It has been a while since last post.
Recently one of my beloved pre-loved N-Sats started showing their age. Being unable to take the speakers for service to the UK (shipping cost is too highU I decided to substitute the N-Sats with Raidho X1T.
The Raidho’s really shine in my compromized listening/living room. The great thing about them is that they do everything the sats did with a touch more resolution - and very wide dispersion which is what I need due to the set-up I have.
In short, I am very happy with the way the X1Ts work in my system. Meanwhile, I am having the N-Sats revised and hopefully will have the opportunity to compare them directly with the Raidhos.
Cheers, Vik
What’s it powering?
The family went out the other night to Easy Street Records, which is much more than just a record store (event space, bar, restaurant, hangout) and the kids have now discovered what ‘vinyl’ is so we all have a new expensive hobby. Anyway, the Pro-ject Digital TT I have with my DAC V1 in the office wasn’t cutting it due to the belt on the outside of the platter being knocked off by inexperienced fingers, and my dealer called out of the blue and said I had $400 in trade coming from some misc I dropped there months ago, so off I went and got this demo priced Music Hall Classic. It has the phono stage built in, and connecting via RCA to 3.5mm with the LS50’s. Not the end all in sound quality (probably a dedicated phono stage is in order down the road), but it’s a nice solid TT with auto stop and I forgot how much fun vinyl is. I got the Nuggets box reissue, my wife some Daft Punk remixes, my daughter the TS 1989 double, and my 14 year old son K Lamar and Carti B.
My wife is still wondering why we couldn’t have just gotten one of the $99 jobs off of Amazon - just don’t go there and trust me was my reply…
Nice looking deck ![]()
Get some of these. Far more elegant and subtle than black insulating tape. They really solved the retina-burning brightness of my Linn Radikal blue LED.
Whole pack for just 1 LED?
It was a big budget purchase at £4.99 so I threw caution to the wind and used 3 of ‘em on 3 different items and put the rest in my man drawer for potential future use in 2050🤣
How are you getting on with them?
Great stuff @Camphuw you’re not only in the ‘club’ now, but you’ll never be able to live without one (or two
)
I’ll buy one sticker off you for my NDS screen, which has suddenly deteriorated to a point where NASA have confirmed it’s the dimmest object in the known universe.
Better just to black it out ![]()
No idea , still in the boxes. Need to find a new home for my D48’s , hell I need a new place for me.
Make sure you have all loose items bolted down @Camphuw. I added S812 to my system and it rocks. Great Subs👍
I’ve not tested the bolts yet … job for later in the week during the cricket. Ok I can’t wait so did it before catching up on TdF.
I wonder if there is a torque wrench for Allen keys?
I was told I needed a 4mm key but mine did not fit, but 3 mm did. This was for the forward facing cone. I’ve not checked the bottom port - does it even have a cone?
Take a look at the RS website, torque screwdrivers, to get better than ±6% costs a lit of money.
