Had a powerwall 3 installed (for hifi use as well as the possible future “problems” we may face)
And…. Erm yeah, a significant improvement.
The system sounded great without the grid isolation ,
Now it’s blacker with better separation and wider soundstage - can’t wait for the new 555 firmware
Full PW3’s, I believe the expansion packs don’t have the light.
If I come to upgrade in the future I figure full independent walls will be easier to sell (last update was around 7 years - they are warrantied for 10 years with a guaranteed 80% capacity)
Thanks, I wasn’t sure about the light. Very impressive!
If you don’t need the inverter capacity then 3 expansion packs would have been quite a bit cheaper I believe.
Maybe used PW3s might hold their value better, but I can also see many adding a used expansion pack to their existing PW3 installation as an upgrade. It’s hard to know how the used market might pan out.
I’m interested in this @u72 as I’d like to get a battery in the future probably Sigenergy with the ups backup and wondered how it would link into a system. Perhaps a separate topic!
Not going to replace anything I own higher up the food chain and can get a little bit shouty right out of the box but I’ll use them for a little while and see how they go.
Ah yes, I couldn’t remember the name. Two days and early retirement plans shattered. Great. At least I have a good stereo…… won’t be adding to this thread though.
Ha ha, now that you mention it, I did get a 3.5mm to lighting cable to connect my iPad to my AirPod Max yesterday - more than £17 though. The last hurrah. Well, I’ve a few power cables on the way too. I’m starting to think spending is safer than saving.
Hi guys.. one question , do I need to get a good router for streaming ? My current router went dead on me, barely 7 months , best ASUS router somemore Will a good router gives better steaming in terms of sound or , an ordinary router will just do fine ?
Doubt if router choice will have a discernible impact on streaming performance, however, a better, ie more expensive , router will give you more control over your network if you desire such things.
Fritzbox and Netgear Nighthawk appear well thought of here….
