Should I ever upgrade to the NC, my first song will be Back in Black from ACDC ![]()
Iāve many times used āRock n roll aināt noise pollutionā in my listening tests ![]()
Two awesome goosebumps tracks
my neighbours learned to appreciate ![]()
Such an awesome piece of engineering and art. Just looking at it would make me happy..Enjoy!!
For our youngster now studying abroad, a nice package by two friendly companies from Southend-on-Sea.
Ruark MR1, the new mk3 version which has a built-in phono stage, and a Rega Planar 1, matching finishes, ease of setup, and quality feel.
Iām quite taken by how nice this sounds and how enjoyable this simple setup is at 925 euros. Remote even!
Wonderful setup for a student to listen to music whilst studying. Trainee as a future Hifi enthusiast?
Oh yes. I certainly have.
2x6m Van Damme XKE for the ATCās. Letās see how it fares against the Mogami.
For Ā£65, itās worth a try.

After years of having a B&W HTM4S (aluminium tweeter) centre speaker with 804D2 (diamond tweeter) left-and-rights, Iāve finally got a matching centre!
The HTM4S was rather asymmetrically ugly (and a bit sun-faded):
But my new HTM4D2 most certainly is not:
Hi Graeme, very interested in your opinion of the Van Damme vs Mogami XLRs.
They arrived late afternoon so only a short listen today. Iāll tag you on the ATC thread later tomorrow Nigel.

Cheers Graeme.
I got my T+A DAC 200 today. It came earlier than Iād expected so raced to the dealer to pick it up and to return their demo they let me borrow The demo I was using is silver mine is Black. One thing I think thatās kind of cool is that my black unit comes with a black remote with white buttons whereas the silver demo had a silver remote with black buttons.
Amazing looking TT: but 2 tonearms: interesting feature but why?
One tonearm has a stereo cartridge. The other has a mono cartridge. I have a third tonearm with a lower range cartridge to use for casual listening. Iām waiting on a new armboard to mount it again. My turntable supports one to three tonearms.
Some people also use multiple tonearms for different sounding cartridges.
Interesting looking speakers. What are they?
They are Shahinian Compass 2s.
ATVM95/ML/H. Simple, cheap, does what it says on the tin and good enough for me.
Congrats, that sounds like a significant upgrade. Are you bowled over by the improvements? Your post seemed a tad āreservedā, it made me wonder.
Thanks @stavrose .
Maybe Iām just more reserved than the system.
Iāve had the 332/250 for about 8 weeks now, and Iām still getting those wow moments in passages of music. And sitting here with a big smile on my face, feet tapping. Iām really glad I went for the Naim pairing over the Linn.
When upgrading from ND5-XS to NDX2 with the 202/200 about 5 years back, I found the biggest difference was in the musical detail and hearing things that were previously ānot thereā.
This time whilst Iām still hearing new things, the main difference for me is the tonally.
Drums and piano have always sounded good, but have now stepped up considerably.
And even things like a bass string, just sound so much more rounded and better, and real.
The NDX2 is a great streamer and works very well with the 332, but my plan is still probably to have a listen to a 333 later in the year.
