Fat Boy squeezed in … sounds amazing even out of the box
Re try pic again, Fatboy in place … waited 3 months but sounds sublime even out of the box…! how do I turn pic ?
Yes, Audiovector and Naim are a really good match.
AV speakers are specially developed to be fast, transparent and lively, so they fit perfectly with Naim. I can imagine that it is not such a common combo in the UK, but here in Sweden and in Scandinavia, Audiovector is probably one of the most common speakers together with Naim.
Yes, I have also always liked the naca 5 cable. I have tried many different brands but have always come back to the naca 5, it is simply more musical than many others, even much more expensive speaker cables. I had a shorter one before but then I moved the system to another room and needed a much longer cable so these fit perfectly, 2x6 meters and with 3-termination. The former had only a couple of banana plugs. So very happy indeed.
Cheers! Björn
That looks nice. I especially like the Soot Sprites and giant sea urchin.
Hi - just wondering what difference you have experienced with the Denafrips reclocker in vs out of your system? Also, what are the pucks on top of it? Thanks.
With a Supernait, I don’t think so. My Tablette 10 Signatures suit me just fine, and no ported speaker has ever worked in my room. No more big spending on hifi for me, not as a pensioner. I’d rather spend money on holidays.
In absolute terms (pure SQ) they would improve things. But I totally get your comment about spending priorities. It’s time for me to lock the ‘hifi cheque book’ away now too.
Not blowing smoke but you’re the youngest pensioner I have ever encountered.
I’m 60, not a ‘state pensioner’ but retired nonetheless.
I’d like to say there were big changes but the difference with the DDC, to no DDC, was noticeable but not significant. It cleaned up the signal from the Bluesound Node and the CDT-8 Pro Transport I’m currently using somewhat. Was it worth it? I’d say yes not a large expenditure and cleaner to me. Take note that I run the Bluesound Node via WiFi. I’ve got a great internet connection and the WiFi is very strong in the house. Never any type of hiccup. I run the video system through a wired connection but haven’t seen the need for the audio. If your connection were wired the improvement might be more.
The disks are called Supersonic Stabilizers and they help eliminate any vibration on devices that have issues possibly caused by having a less than very solid case . I think they help. Once again, just my opinion and specific to this device. Effect is not major but very subtle.
Thanks. Useful insight.
I’d reckon semi-retired considering the work involved with the festival(s)…
2 x 4m of Chord Epic XL.
Been run in I think, ears are used to them now.
Better than the Witch Hat Phantoms? Yes, a little. If I had to use one word it would be Clarity.
My system doesn’t really have a defined edge to the soundstage any more. The speakers are invisible and instruments and voices are placed where the engineer decided to place them in the mix.
Elegant and classy.
Welcome to the forum! …add a picture to the System Pictures thread.
Looking forward to hearing how your new headphone system is working out…
Thanks. So far quite happy with the new combo. I think the two are generally a good match. Transparent and airy, though still a bit bright and not yet fully engaging. Will give it a bit more time to settle in and maybe also for me to get used to it.
