Wot Santa brought.
Dropped off by the Postie this morning having come from America courtesy of Amazon.
An English band, yet this box-set no longer seems to be available from retail outlets in the UK. Strange.
Available on Amazon UK (£43.61).
Thats who I ordered it from, but it had to come over from the USA. HMV used to sell it, for example, but no more.
Oooh, very nice!
I believe, because it is a box-set, it only had a limited run and proved extremely popular. I know I felt fortunate to acquire a copy. Enjoy.
I’m a Nick Drake fan, but not a completist, but this oddity turned up in charity shop, curious to see what its about, worth the price of entry to hear him sing “don’t think twice it’s alright” frankly.
Just ordered latest in Naive’s Vivaldi series, out at end of the month.
Every single one I have is marvellous.
A copy of this superb Mosaic 7CD set with pretty well all of Bobby’s best Blue Note albums in state of the art CD sound.
Otonoke - Creepy Nuts (Single, DanDaDan anime OP, 2024)
Metaphor Re: Fantazio soundtrack - Shoji Meguro (2025)
This arrived a couple of days ago.
It was expensive for a cd but as well as 3 cds recorded in France it has a DVD of a 1969 performance in Germany.
I have always been wary of bootleg recording believing that there was a good reason they weren’t released in period. With Miles though I’ve been getting into his life and music a bit more and although this recording, and some of the playing, isn’t the best quality, it really is worth listening to just to see how Miles was developing in his mind and musical style.
The DVD was worth the price on its own for me, as I haven’t any video of Miles performing.
