Arrived this morning America 45rpm Acousticsounds.
Heart - Dreamboat Annie. UK pressing on Arista via Discogs. Was going to buy the new Vinylphile AAA reissue until I realised the UK shipped price is over £50! Bit much to pay for a record I think. So found this near mint used copy instead for £15. Cleaned up this morning and playing now & it sounds excellent. Sometimes it pays to stick with the original lp.
Does it have KENDUN IT’S IN THE WAX TO THE MAX inscribed in the dead wax? It’s a great sounding LP.
Yes it does have that text in the run out and yes, having just finished playing it through I can confirm it does indeed sound excellent!
Chasing the Monsoon - No Ordinary World
Double vinyl of fine progressive rock just £8.00 in the Burning Shed sale.
Great spot-just ordered!
I never noticed that, it’s on my 1975 Canadian pressing, too. The other side has “GO FOR IT (MAGAZINE)

The one on the right, by Leigh Wildman.
Popped into Bamalama posters in Leather Lane yesterday (great shop if you’re passing) and the owner John wasn’t there, another chap was covering. Very chatty, nice bloke talking through John’s Bowie posters on the wall and then we get onto his own story.
Turns out Leigh was in a band back in the day “…you probably never heard of us, The Seers”. Au contraire, I knew them very well and name checked their first album which I knew I had at home. So, he chatted about what he does now, has released a few small volume records over the last fews years, primarily some guitar noodling. He happened to have some in the shop, so I bought one, clearly now signed by him on the inner sleeve.
Well just wait until you play them…![]()
No Charming Man
Half-Speed Remaster, released yesterday and arrived this morning. Excellent pressing, flat, silent and sounds great to my ears. A positive bargain at £19.99 plus delivery.![]()
Just picked up at work. Only 9.5 hours to go and I can play it!

Have you the original to compare it too?
Yes I do but I haven’t compared them. If it’s any help to you I’m more than happy to give both a spin if I get time tomorrow.
Oh no hurry
Just wondered, but then I reckon I haven’t played mine in about 20 years!
latest vinyl i didn’t buy: at a folk concert this week the band mentioned they only had 2 vinyls left of the pressing - i rushed to the stand in the interval - just 2 young women in front of me - thought i was safe but they each bought the lp. interesting
