Which 0% beer are you drinking and why might someone else enjoy it?

Guinness 0.0, tastes just about the same as canned Draught

Enjoying one of these on a trip to see my son in Manchester. I ordered a box before we travelled and it is a very good approximation of a milk stout sans alcohol. A little bit sweeter than I’d normally go for but very acceptable none the less.

Guinness Zero.

Not as good as the real stuff, but not bad for lunchtimes with my old colleagues, aka the Grumpy Old Men’s Club.

Their unfiltered lager has been one of my favourite low alcohol beers for some time.

Saw this in the supermarket the other day:

Their relatively new Hazy IPA - another winner I think, very refreshing.

I’ll second the Leffe. And the Guinness.
Also these -

Think I’ve had the one on the left. Very nice.

Recalling the label from earlier today I picked one up in Sainsbury’s, then realised popping it into the fridge that it was actually the 8% ‘blonde’ with a slightly different label. :person_facepalming:

I’ve never tried any of the range before so maybe serendipity.

Often start the evening with a couple of these to reduce the overall units tally. Good flavour, not too fizzy and sugar free somehow.

Big fan of all 3 of those. Hogan’s High Sobriety is a very nice 0.5% cider. Not too sweet.

We have Athletic readily available in the States and I think their IPAs are the best of the 0 alcohol beers we’ve tried.

Peroni isn’t bad . . .kinda tastes like a Peroni to be honest.

We also like “hop water.” A few companies make it; it doesnt try to be beer and maybe its simpler recipe makes it easier to succeed. I like it a lot.

We tried La Chouffe’s product, but to me it tasted too much like a Malta Goya. Too sweet and malty with zero “grip.”

Curious shootout in The Times, turns out I seem to have tried most of them by now and probably all feature in this thread too. Hard work!

Off the gargle for 5 weeks now. Trying to reset my relationship with alcohol (again!).

This is a nice one for the back garden on these long hot summer evenings.

Generally apart from Guinness I prefer 0.5%. You do have to check the sugar content though if like me you’re trying to get your glycosylated haemoglobin levels (HbA1c) down.

Zero alcohol beer is great
I don’t drink alcohol as I gave up in 2020 - it made my long Covid worse - and I never restarted.
Alcohol is now implicated with so many cancers it’s a very good idea to stop in your 60s…
I like the taste of beer, water can be a bit ‘dull’ if out with friends and soft (sugar) drinks vile and really packed with carbs.
Now, a decent zero alcohol wine? No chance I’m afraid…

Becks non alcoholic beer actually tastes like beer I find. Quite impressed actually. Unfortunately the quest for a decent zero alcohol wine is ongoing.

Had a few of these yesterday afternoon - very refreshing suitably chilled but still prefer the blue one:

The blue one also now seems to come in 500ml bottles.

Does low alcohol beer have a shorter shelf life?

Found a pack of Brooklyn Brewery Special Effects yesterday - best before was a year ago - sort of ok to drink but I think it did taste a bit peculiar.

Belgians did it again…
