Which brand Ethernet cable do you use?

I’m enjoying exactly the same thing right now.

I am now using Router > Sigma > Phonenixnet > Omega > ND555 with 2 x 555PSDRs.

Sounds incredible!

Nothing can be improved, your front end is fully loaded, nice!

The Phoenixnet is rather colored and slow so if he wants more speed there are better switches like Ansuz. I’d expect the Nordost switches having more PRAT too.

No, no, no. A full loom of Nordost gold Tyr is needed.

The Bonn NX is PRaT machine. Very expressive.

A good option as well

Lumin recently released the N1 switch too. Could be interesting.

One-week in and I’m loving my Network Acoustics Muon2 switch. It’s frankly shocking the uplift it brought with it, even factoring in the high price of admission. I would prioritise getting a much higher tier of switch than better ethernet cables if your system is of a high enough calibre as that will yield a greater sonic return in my opinion.

Agree

Someone has experimented AGD Axxess ethernet cable? I ´m using AQ Cinnamon from Switch to ND5 XS2, Axxess is more than twice the price of AQ, is it over kill for ND5?

Thanks

What I found.

The phoenix net is nothing but slow. The ansuz was not better - you liked it more. I heared the ansuz - it’s very good. Speedy airy and detailed. PN on the other side is more earthy and groovy.

That’s what I wrote in other words. PN colored/earthy/warm and less pace, speed, timing. I’ve had both in my former 500 system. Have you had Ansuz in yours? Model?

No - heard it at the dealers. PN against ansuz. Shortly after your „review“ here . It was the model around 5k euro - don’t know the name. Remember it was the one you had. Timing is equal in PN to my ears.

Do you still use it in nc system?

Wow … they do make expensive gear. Guess they are really good.

Yes I still use Ansuz D2 and it has won many battles here  Furutech LAN8 NCF Plus before it and Shunyata Sigma after it going into NSS333.

And we agree on the Sigma Ethernet :joy::blush:

Yes it’s one of three of the best Ethernet cables I’ve had throughout the years. The other was Ansuz D2 Ethernet and another favourite was Entreq Olympus.

Your profile is hidden. How does the current system look like? @Blackbird

Cant say i have ever heard the PhoenixNet sound slow or add warmth.
I also can’t see how any switch can mess with timing really, all they seem to do if offer better noise rejection.
I have tried loads of different switches and not one have i thought that sounds slow, etc. The only thing i every found that i didn’t like was the melco s100 switch, that seemed to smother the dynamics in an attempt to kill unwanted noise.
I have also found some dac’s are so much better in dealing with ethernet than others.
