Another favourite.
Kinda rely on the radio for most of it but then a playlist made on Tidal/Qobuz on Christmas Day.
This always gets a run out though.
Howard Goodall, The Truth about Christmas Carols, BBC iPlayer. 59 mins. Interesting account and a wide variety of carols.
It really is not. Seriously irritating. Lol.
Just giving this a listen, thanks
Sheâs a classy singer.
Seems pleasant enough, but Iâm struggling to regard anything 19 minutes (7 songs) long as an Album. Maybe a sign of the times.
And coming in a close second to Shane McGowanâs masterpiece, Eric Idle.
Canât post a vid of course.
Canât really repeat the title, either.
Itâs the word âChristmasâ preceded by a popular Anglo-Saxon rudery. ![]()

A great rendition.

Martin
Now now, chaps. Christmas spirit and all that. Letâs save the car park scrapping until chucking out time, shall we?
talent notwithstanding, not appropriate for families and young children. we donât play it in our house, but Iâm ok for those that like it. its become a classic in its own right
Currently listening to this:
There is something special about Christmas music sung by a really good choir and The Sixteen is a really good choir. The second piece: Lo, How a Rose eâer Blooming is sung very slowly and very quietly. It takes expert singers to bring this off but the result is magical.
