Your Watch & Naim

Beautiful!

Congrats! Those are so so so rare. (I assume it’s stainless steel.) The dealer really has to want to sell it to YOU. I’ve kinda given up bugging my dealer about it, and the black SS Daytona I want. She did get me that James Cameron ed. DEEPSEA which fortunately I love wearing. Wear it in good health!

(And you can always sell it off for a fair bit more than you paid; no worries about that part!)

Thank you both.

Yes Bart, it is the SS model. The blue dial is beautiful but the black was the one I wanted. It’s such a clever watch yet so simple in appearance and use. A WIS will instantly recognise it but anyone else who has more than a passing interest is likely to file it under ā€œDatejustā€ (all be it one that couldn’t say no to the man in the pie shop).

The JC is a cracking watch. Congratulations on getting that stunner. There’s nothing else like it. A watch like that would wear me. I’m more Sub compatible when it comes to the sports models.

Sea Lion from 67 I think. Lovely watch.

Interesting watch. I can see Fri 5 and then 27. ? Two date apertures?

Friday 27 May?

Sounds logical.

Fifth day of the week?
Picture wasn’t taken this year.

Yep, Friday 5th day of the week. 27th day of the month.

Very nice Malla!

Is that a ceramic bezel Daytona or a previous generation aluminium bezel?

From the cuffs that the GMT and Daytona are mounted on, I see that you have a Wolf watch winder as well - very nice!

George.

Good spot on the Wolf winder! Yes, it’s the Cerachrom bezel. I never liked the previous gen bezel style unless it was gold.

Cheers!

Epic. My next is a Patek Complications

Very nice.

Thanks @malla. This is the exact Daytona Chronograph model that I’m on a waiting list for - the ā€˜less popular’ black dial (the waiting lists for the white dialled ones are longer). When I bought my Tudor Black Bay GMT recently, my AD shared that I’m in the top 10 on the list, so only 3-4 years to go! To paraphrase what @Harry said before, maybe by the time I’m too old and crusty to enjoy it! lol! :grinning:

With your extensive Rolex collection, you must have an excellent relationship with your AD (Rolex VIP status), or have good contacts in the trade!

George.

That’s a dream for me!!

I’ve had this watch for a few years now and since finding just the right strap for it (a CWC vintage grey NATO) I’m wearing it quite a bit. It’s the Precista PRS-82 Royal Navy Diver, a reissue of one of the rarest RN diving watches, and the last one issued before the quartz era.

The first one used the same original ETA2783 movements, although it has now been updated to a decorated 2824-2. It used a lovely asymmetrical case, somewhere between the style of a vintage Squale and a Benrus. Updates are the domed sapphire and a slightly bolder bezel inlay. Happily the rather unique Snake hands remain. The squared off and drilled lugs are sheer tool watch. I love it.

That’s a pretty solid line-up right there!

Worth the wait. My BLRO is the go-to daily. IMHO, I prefer it to the Daytona.
