Yes. One of those watches that are on the wish list.
I got to say:
The greatest fear ( brake) on buying old classics is the lack of stock pieces for substitution , in case of need.
Nice, I’ve never owned a Stowa, but their implementation of the hand wound Unitas 6498 mvmt is beautiful
Yes the quality of the finishing is really nice. Especially for a relatively cheap brand.
They are also a pleasure to deal with. I got mine second hand but got in touch with them to get a replacement strap. One of those small companies that put the customer first.
Sounds like a British HiFi company we all know and luv…
Seiko Samurai Saturdays!
I’m a keen John McLaughlin fan (as you may already have detected), but recently I stumbled upon this interesting article in which John discusses some of his watches and guitars. I thought it might be of interest to others on here.
Interesting article
I like his comments about musical instruments should be used and not kept locked away.
Much how I feel about watches
Yes, the article persuaded me to sell my ES335. I can blame it on John McLaughlin!
This guy is a joy to watch (excuse the pun).
wondered what had happened to his fingers at first glance - normally expect to see white gloves
Why do I keep going back to this page on the forum? Every time I view it I find myself looking to buy myself a new watch.

You’d better stay away from the TZ forum!
I was a regular on there for 7 years and I must have spent £12-15K on watches in that time. I tend to stay away from there now and I’ve only spent a few hundred quid in the last couple of years.
Perfect timing - I read your post just as an email pinged in from well known dealer Bernhard Bulang. And what do we see but a rather lovely looking NOS Rolex Explorer II…
Very Nice
Buy it Richard !!! You won’t regret it one bit
It might just be your go to watch .
