That’s all fine and dandy, but where is the mechanical rooster?
George Carlin opened his shows with a funny rooster, or “c@ck” joke, but it’s not suitable.
Indeed - my first ‘Euro-gig’ was singing Byrd 4 in Strasbourg Cathedral on Palm Sunday 1992 on a school music tour. It was a fabulous acoustic to sing in.
Just realised it’s Palm Sunday in five days’ time, making it the 30th (liturgical) anniversary of this event. The years insist on flying by, despite my best efforts.

But I’m dying to type it out anyway. But I’m resisting.
Would it include a Weather Vane??
Indeed.
I do like Navitimers…
maybe not an easy decision given its’ heritage, however, for a good cause!
My old timer (1967 I believe), and in great condition…
Love Navitimers! They’re just to big for my wrist.
Well I’ll not be wearing it as I’m not that into ‘bling’ watches and being a ‘Red Gold’ model it is quite bling!
And given the original price tag for what is a ltd. edition version, my guess on value means it should give my daughter a nice place to stay for a couple of years at least, so better for her than me…
I notice Jamie said it was one of the watches left , so I think Jamie will be left with others .
One generation looks after the next (and these days often vice-versa)
I can, why’s that then?
I was reading in the watch supplement of one of yesterday’s papers that Miles Davis used to wear a Navitimer.
Out of curiosity to see the engraving of a limited edition, but never mind if you feel uncomfortable.
Yes, lots of information and pictures in internet about this.
Nope, not uncomfortable, just curious.
Not sure it is ltd. though, having done an initial bit of research I saw reference to the limited nature of the ‘Red Gold’ version but it doesn’t seem that way other than limited by price(!)
Thank you, what a beauty!
