Happy to land this from AD.
Nice; they are so hard to get right now.
Did the watch come with the shirt? They look like a perfect match.
Hahahahah nope they have 10 years apart:))
Iād have a hard time parting with that.
My IWC Mark XVIII with its new summer strap. Iād seen pictures of it in reviews and thought it was a nice casual alternative to the black leather. I couldnāt find it in the U.K. so got it directly from IWC. Ordered at the end of last week and arrived today.
The white looks really smart! Congratulations
Looks good, how does it fasten, tang buckle or deployant clasp? Also what news on the Oris?
Itās just a standard tang buckle. It didnāt come with one so I had to swap it over from the leather strap. As for the Oris, thanks for asking. It will probably be away in Holstein until about the end of May. Iām just hoping they find out whatās wrong with it.
Thanks for the reply, for a positive outcome.
Thank you. Iāve had the watch for a little while now. The white is in fact a very pale silver and makes a nice change from black faced watches. The fabric strap gives it a different look to the black leather that wonāt appeal to everyone, but I rather like it.
That looks lovely.
Essex gets a beautiful patina from wear. Itāll only get better. You can apply a tiny bit of colourless Saphir Oiled Leather Cream on both sides once or twice a year, depending on wear. Itāll look and feel even better and last 2 or 3 times longer. SOLC leaves no greasy/shiney āshoe polishā look or feel. Works excellent on other straps and (Horween) belts too.
thanks! Iāve been wondering if i needed to treat it at all. The strap has been in daily use since january and is lovely, but i thought too nice to be used daily so my tool watch has the metal strap back on and the sarb will be used occasionally.
You donāt āneed toā but straps will last a helluva lot longer if you do treat hem occasionally.
And they will look a lot better too, reduce staining etc. But itās this specific type of Saphir cream you want. Not āsome other cream like itā. Things easily get messy, creasy and looking wrong with other stuff. Not cheap but a jar will last you a very, very long time.
Iām a bit of a shoe & leather care nerdā¦
