It’s the Australian Open at the moment. All this Rolex talk is to be expected ![]()
Very nice!

It’s time watch makers stopped selling alligator straps, and indeed people stopped choosing them. The alligators are farmed and then killed by inserting a sharp rod into their brains, which are mashed. All to produce a luxury good that nobody needs. There are some really good embossed alligator straps around, made from standard leather, which is a much better alternative. And this is a positive advantage for Rolex, who almost exclusively use metal bracelets.
The above strap is ‘faux’. I agree with you though and wouldn’t want any alligators to die for fashion.
Nice, I like the tan face Ranger
Thanks. I see that it is a bit too shiny compared to the real deal.
Always loved the look of those B&R watches. My wrist is too tiny to sport one though…
It’s actually the BRS, so it’s smaller than the usual BR01 etc.
A perfect everyday watch.
The beautiful machine!
Finally Friday.
My late grandfathers 14k cal 88 Sunday watch. After he passed in 1970, it was in a drawer until 2010 where I got it. The dial got sent to Switzerland for a service. It sits on a Kuki Flex croco strap with an IWC buckle.
I see Kuki Flex straps are made from “carefully selected alligator, crocodile”
Death and vanity.
You are a vegan I suppose?
Is it OK to raise pigs just to eat the meat?
Both alligator and crocodile meat are eaten by humans.
No I just like Alligators and Crocodiles.
Nice strap.
I have been trying to find a new strap for my maurice lacroix watch (with butterfly clasp).
Not easy. Original is a 22mm lug reducing to 18mm at clasp. Was a blue alligator strap.
Could buy a genuine one from watch company but 500 quid is a big cost.
Searching on line most are same width, etc.
Checked site for your strap but not a tapering option
Will keep looking
