Your Watch & Naim

Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Day Date Auto 42mm which I just picked up. I just call it the ‘Cooper’ since it was worn by Mathew McConaughey’s character Cooper in the 2014 movie Interstellar.

That’s so junk

It doesn’t necessarily work that way. I have similar amount of watches, many cheap(ish, 1k or even 229 isn’t that cheap), some expensive. All get worn, of course some more often than others, but there’s no correlation with the price.

A man with one watch knows what time it is. A man with more is never sure.

(…. I am still working on it)

Datejust was wonderful but it was too shiny for me, so made a great exchange with this green baby!

Chinese have copied stuff the last 3 to 4 decades.

There’s so many “affordable” watches out there, copy of copies etc.

Omega used in a 007 Bond movie

Exist in many homage editions, I’m quite happy with my Steeldive

The Brand names could sometime need attention, the “Octopus” name on my Kraken is the only Issue I have with this watch.

Its nice to pay around €300 and experience the quality of my Kraken Titanium or Steeldive watch, close run to the quality feeling of my Steinhart watches.

Must say I’ve never experienced the original Tudor or Omega, so can’t really comment on the expensive stuff.

I own a Steeldive and a Pagani. I wanted to see with my very eyes (for what they can work) and every time they make that buzzle…….. I don’t weare them as i consider it only an experiment but a lot of people think they’re good for the cheap price……

Not just the Chinese, take the Seamaster - even Seiko has been doing it, just less overtly … or is it subtle inspiration?: )

I have a few Pagani’s and am not really exited about them, you live and you learn.

My kids can have them until they can afford their own.

In fact talking el cheapo watches, I am more satisfied with a few Addiesdives than Pagani.

Not my style but it goes to show that you don’t have to spend a lot to buy a good quality mechanical watch from a reputable maker and they make their own in house movement.
