This is Crazy. Too good.

Yep, a dangerous position, from 2 watches to 15 - very shortly

I don’t buy expensive though..my border is €1k

This Octopus Kraken 39 titanium is now in rotation, a very relaxed wear, so easy on hand, I’ve fitted a leather strap on mine.

That watch looks remarkably similar to the Tudor Pelagos (close enough I wonder whether Rolex/Tudor’s lawyers may be sharpening their quills??). What movement does it use?

It’s a PT 5000, a China made ETA clone. A clone to power a clone. Yours for £229.

That raises an interesting question, whether to have one really nice watch or 15 cheap ones. And if you have 15, presumably most are hardly ever worn. I once had three nice watches, now I have just one, and am much happier having no choice.

It’s blatant copyright infringement and intellectual property theft. They even have a website. Copies of Rolex, Omegas, Hamilton, etc. I’m afraid people will feed the dragon by flooding the market with these cheap copies. Sad really.

That’s a lovely Alpinist, Gian. I prefer it with a nice leather strap but it’s just my taste. Nice one!

Mine is a PT 5000

Just about right and opportunity for those (included me) that don’t wish or can afford expensive watches.

My most expensive watch is a Steinhart below €1k. I do have a vintage Omega Geneve but found its not worth a lot of cash nowadays, nice watch anyway, unfortunately I hardly use it.

I like to rotate a handfull of my watches, but partly agree, a few of my cheaper watches are not often in use.

I intend to give away a few of them.

When buying those watches I’ve got tempted like when ladies buy shoes

Yes, China is really renowned for making exceedingly good watches and movements.
There’s one I got in the post a couple of months ago. Seller was no very pleased when I told him I was going to send it back because it was “not as described”.

A lot of time ago my Father got a Daytona during a summer on the beach. The thing doesn’t lose a second! Still have it. From steel to bronze!

Where did you buy it from.

Just noticed they make something very similar to an Oris pilots watch.

The Teal face looks stunning.

It certainly makes it more usable to the majority of people. It’s clearly in breach of copyright but I doubt it’s taking any Rolex/Tudor buyers away.

Everything I see a Tudor watch on here I think of Tudor crisps

Lordmatic from September 79.
