@popeye
I feel like the kid at Xmas, birthday, last day of school+!
But you had better be wrong about this not being the end of the expense. I barely held onto my wife this time. Besides, what else is there - active Statement? shhhh

I was just meaning more listening + more drinking = topping up more of those 18 year old+ bottles of malts!
Ohā¦OK. You got me very nervous there for a minute!
And, no doubt about stocking up on more single malts. thatās a lot easier since my wife is a coconspirator when it comes to the whisky collection.
That would be A D Rattray. they were very generous with their tasting samples on my visit, Iām glad I wasnāt driving.
Yes. A D Rattray is one of the better independent bottlers. Iāve many over the years.
At some point, I really need to make a trip to Scotland.
It was Robbieās Drams.
Hi Mitch, if you had the Macchalan Whisky at home, you could buy 2 full Statement active system if selling the bottle. The price I saw was 1,45 billions .
Damn, I missed that one, and I had a local guide, though not one with much of a whisky habit, more of a beer hound.
We were so overwhelmed by the sheer number of malts that we chose the one with the best offer! How shallow is that? Itās a lovely shop, on what looked like the main road in the centre.
I do have a bottle of the 1926 Macallan. It is delicious!
Just kiddingā¦
Hmmmm. I have one system on a double stack and a second system on a single stack of Fraim. I also have two spare bases and three spare shelves. I think I have a stack rebuild project coming on ā¦
WOW that is sad to hear as Chris Murphy has been a wonderful ambassador for Naim over the last 30 od years ,The new distributors obviously offered big $$$ and big promises as they did in Australia ā¦time will tell but when you drop one who has been so staunch & loyal for so long lets hope the buying public in NZ doesnāt get the rough end of the pineapple.
Same thing happened in Italy around 5 years agoā¦ not the best choice Naim ever made.
Many skilled Naim retailers found themselves without the brand and Iāve heard that selling is more sales discount than value based ā¦ sadā¦
Same in Spain. Lost the long term distributor who provided great support and now Naim is a sideline for the Pioneer and Onkyo distributor.
Yep it seems to be happening everywhere, long term distributors with good product knowledge are being replaced by distributors with lots of brands and no experience. Shame.
Itās left me in a bit of a pickle if I want to upgrade in the future and do trade ins, and comparisons with other products that my dealer has. Could end up saving me money
Iām lucky my guy at least services Naim and probably knows more than the current distributor.
I donāt believe it would be too difficult to expand beyond the knowledge base that exists at BSoft .I have been involved in audio from an early age including importation and distribution of product and I understand how important good distributors and dealers are to the buying public ,this whole scenario looks like a own goal to me ā¦very sad.
Who are they?
