Ansuz Thread

My system is in my profile

I don’t think anyone pays the retail price for Ansuz cables and accessories.
You’ve obviously used the most expensive power cable as an example.
However, if you take a mid-range C3 power cable (street price €3,000) as an example, it can be a huge upgrade for a DAC or integrated amplifier, especially if you previously had a standard cable. It’s certainly comparable to a device upgrade.
I’ve noticed improvements with every additional Ansuz product so far.
For people with seven-digit system values, it might make sense to use a power cable as a power supply from the wall that costs €35,000 street price, because it massively improves eight devices simultaneously. For me, using the C3 cable as a power supply from the wall to the C3 distributor is an excellent upgrade; I also have eight devices connected to the distributor.

I second this. I’m also using C3 cables on my streamer and network switch and they are a nice upgrade. I’m saving up to buy a longer one to go from my power block to the wall socket.

Might it be cheaper to move the wall socket? Presumably it’s a dedicated mains setup, as nobody would hang thousands of pounds worth of cables off the ring main.

These people do exist … myself included

Yeah! Me too!!!

@HungryHalibut - is it just me or does this forum seem to be overrun by folks touting non naim cables….

If I don’t know better I’d attribute nefarious intent…

Richard Dane is super patient…

This is nuts. Not you, just 35K cables.

For that much money - specially for a full loom of said cables I could have a band playing live in my living room every evening.

Could have a set of musicians gainfully employed.

I did have the A2 and C2 at home - they made my naim
system sound worse…
Pot kettle black though - I’ve got the Valhalla and Frey now…

I don’t know, though a few people seem to have got rather carried away with it all. I think we are all prone to cableitis to some extent. Even with my small system I succumbed to Chord ethernet cables and two EE boxes that are hardly necessary, so it’s not for me to question anyone else.

At this price, I would expect a cable from someone who plays or sings to come out of the speaker.

I’ve tried a couple of power options from Ansuz and have found the improvements grossly disproportionate to their claims and pricing. But especially the claims. For me that’s an easy decision.
In general, companies like e.g. Tellurium or Ansuz which do not disclose much anything, have ridiculous claims (and pricing, like Ansuz in particular) have become a non-starter for me.

I am sure if one manages to only pay a fraction of the RRP with them it may look ok or even a super deal (I guess part of the marketing strategy) but for me it’s become a matter of principle.

Let me get my coat:)

Does anyone here have experience with a D2 Speakz?
I could buy the cable for a good price, but I’m wondering if it would be a significant improvement over my good A3 Speakz? Of course, it would also be interesting to see what the TP Linkz experience would be. I tested a TP Linkz Supreme in conjunction with the D3 Ethernet cable, and it produced a significant improvement that I hadn’t expected, so I kept the cable. I’d love to hear your experiences.

what does the rest of your system look like? Would be great if you added it to your profile. since the equipment you’re asking about is context sensitive.

I once heard Aavik at a hi-fi fair and it was a huge disappointment. The bass was way too prominent, but that’s how it was supposed to sound, we were told. Several of us walked away laughing at it.

I have do that. Thanks

It would be good to know which Aavik device it is. Otherwise, it’s really hard to assign this statement

Yeah, I don’t remember that. But disappointing that the man who showed it won’t turn it down a bit.

@EdvonSchleck - a few observations -
a) Get a better source. I see mega bucks worth of cables, and then the source is Roon Core Intel NUK. Looks like you’ve got all that going on to fix and band-aid noise that’s being put out from your NUC. I’d look at upgrading that first. With the amount of money you’ve spent, you could also splurge on the 66K music server.
EXTREME SERVER – Taiko Audio
b) You’ve got 0 Naim gear. Exactly what advice do you think you’ll get from this forum?
c) Looks like (with due respect) gone nuts with cables and such - does the aavik U588 need all this paraphernalia to sound any good -

I also have the ROON NUC - I built it as a hobby thing many years ago - dont use it much since the uniticore sounds better..
