Best jokes

Thanks! That’s why I didn’t get it then!

Edit

But I listened to it via George’s link and recognised it within a second or two. It’s a long time since I heard that!

Now I get the joke!

Best

A black piece of tarmac walks into a bar and shouts “I’m as hard as nails and will fight anybody in here.”
The barman says, “Calm down, nobody wants to take you on.”
Just then a red piece of tarmac comes in and says, “I’m as hard as nails and will fight anybody in here.” Nobody moves.
The barman turns to black tarmac and says, “ I thought you wanted to fight?”
Black tarmac says, “ I’m not fighting him, he’s a cyclepath!”

I’ve just started a new job, working in a chess pieces factory.

I’m on Knights next week.

Make sure you don’t get caught watching on- line pawn while you are supposed to be working

I reckon they would go easy on him as he’s just a rookie.

Thought of that but wasn’t going to say it on such a genteel forum!

Audi dealerships are still closed - a spokesman was asked for a reopening date but he said he couldn’t give any indication.

Not really a joke as such, but I’ve been looking through some lecture notes on particle physics and it was striking how many of the slide titles could be the names of groups or albums either in experimental jazz, electronica or prog rock. What do you think:

  • Quark Mixing Angles
  • Important Complementarity
  • Lepton Flavour Violation
  • Isospin Symmetry
  • Pseudoscalar Meson Nonet
  • Neutral Kaon Mixing
  • Dynamic generation of BAU
  • The Renormalizable Theory of Weak Interaction

IIRC, the Pseudoscalar Meson Nonet’s drummer left in the late 70s to form Dynamic Generation of BAU, just after their seminal album Important Complementarity. Didn’t he then have a second career as a DJ specialising in Neutral Kaon Mixing?
